April showers bring May flowers and a good excuse for sitting on the porch with a small knitting project or two.

Yarn of the Month

Each month a new yarn will be discounted 20%. The discounted yarn for April will be Cascade 220. May discount is Encore and June will be On line sock yarn.

Only in store stock yarns will be included No special orders, cannot be combined with other sales.

Happy Birthday Sale

Let us celebrate your birthday by giving 20% off your purchase. Visit us on your birthday with proof of the date (valid driver's license, picture ID or birth certificate only).

Birthdays falling on Sunday or Monday will be celebrated on Saturday or Tuesday.

Knitting with Beads

We have a new supply of beads for knitting. Beads can be used to adorn your garments or accessorize your wardrobe in scarves, jewelry, hats, shawls, mittens, etc. Swallow Hill Creations has arrived! We have knitted jewelry kits, scarf kits, and rayon yarn. Beads on a Stitch kits are also available. Come visit our store and see a sample.

Bring a spring dish or summer salad. Please sign up so we know how many people are coming and let us know what you will be bringing.

One lucky person will win a 30% discount off of yarn. The following exclusions: kits, consignment, sale items, special orders, and Rider Toys.

Sit-N-Knit, Fridays 1-4 PM and Saturdays 1-4 PM

You are welcome to come to the shop to just sit and knit. Bring a friend or come by yourself and make a new friend. There is no charge and no instruction is given.

Class Enrollment Information and Policy

Class size:  We require a minimum of three (3) students to hold a class. The maximum number of students to be taken in any class will depend on the difficulty level of the project. We want you to have sufficient time with the instructor.

Class Enrollment:  Pre-payment is required. You will not be enrolled in the class until you have pre-paid. No refunds will be given if you cancel or do not attend a class. We will refund your enrollment fee if we cancel the class. We will credit you with a class if we cancel due to bad weather. Materials are not included in the class fee.

Knitting & Crochet Classes, Special Projects & Techniques

These classes are for everyone. Whether you want to learn something new, need help with a special project or have no idea where to start. We teach all levels and ages: Adults, teens and children. You can knit whatever you want, something you see in the shop (excludes Special projects), or a pattern of your choice. If you and a couple of friends want to learn and none of these times fit into your schedule, please call us so we can arrange a time that works for you. Call and enroll today! Need classes but can't make our schedule? We will provide private knitting and crocheting classes for $20.00 an hour.

Open Workshops

Work on a project of your choice and get help on those knitted or crochet items that have been sitting around. You know the ones that you started when the world began and you have been too busy to get going on again.

Beading Techniques

Learn the two techniques for bead knitting. We will do a small sample of both. Must be experienced with knit and purl stitches.
